Our mission at Hope Community Church...
is to help fulfill the Great Commission by supporting recognized Missions Organizations, Missionaries (local and around the world), and HCC - sponsored Short-Term Mission trips.
Phil and Karen Lundberg Memorial Scholarship Fund
Phil and Karen had a life-long missions focus,
both internationally and locally,
as well as a love for bringing up children in the way of the Lord.
The purpose of this scholarship fund is to provide financial assistance to post-secondary (i.e., college) -- students from our church body who have demonstrated a heart for Missions and wish to pursue Missions field work or Vocational Ministry (domestic or internationally) that is in keeping with the doctrines of the Evangelical Free Church of America and Hope Community Church. This fund is also available to children of Missionary families directly supported by Hope Community Church; regardless of the student’s post-secondary curriculum or major.
Hope Short-Term Missions
During an average year, we will sponsor one Adult Team and one Student Team (with adult supervision) on a Short-Term Mission. These trips typically last one week in duration and cost between $400-$900 per team member.
We have three primary goals for Hope-sponsored Short-Term Mission:
- Support a long-term local ministry that can benefit from our team.
- Engage in effective ministry with people in their home community.
- Give our members an affordable, attainable but life-changing experience.
In the past few years our teams have gone to New Orleans, Texas, an Indian Reservation in Washington, Vancouver B.C., San Francisco, Jamaica, Swaziland, South Africa, Dominican Republic, Montana, Costa Rica, Haiti and Mexico!
