What should I expect on a Sunday?
It's scary to come to a church for the first time! We would love to help you prepare for that experience by telling you what you can expect when you come to Hope. First of all, we want you to know that it's okay to not be okay. You don’t have to be perfect to attend our Church! Just come as you are and we’ll be glad to have you.
Expect to Hear About Jesus
At Hope, everything centers around our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We want you to experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus. This is true for our Sunday services as well. Our music is centered on the character and work of God. Our Sunday sermons explain the Bible and applies the Bible to life. The essence of the gospel is the story of Jesus.
Expect to Feel Welcome
From the moment you drive up the hill and into the parking lot, you can expect that there will be men and women who will help you and make sure you feel welcome. We'll say hello to you and answer your questions when you enter the building. We'll help you find a seat in the worship center, the check-in area for your kids, or a list of Home Groups to consider. If you have any questions, head over to the Welcome Center and we'll get them answered!
Expect for Your Kids to Have a Great Time
We have an amazing, fun, safe environment for kids at Hope. Every week, kids from 3 months to 18 years of age come and have a great time engaging in age-appropriate activities and teaching. We have heard families say, “We came back to Hope because our kids told us that we we’re coming back.”
Expect to be Invited into Community
Hope offers two worship services, and at first, you might think, "How will I ever connect with people here?" We know connections are important, so we've developed a bunch of smaller communities that will help you get to know people quickly. We have a variety of communities that are designed for men, women, college/career, students and children. If you need help connecting into community, visit the Welcome Center in the lobby or the Ministries tab on our website.
