Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortlund
Dane Ortlund's "Gentle and Lowly" offers a refreshing and needed correction to many misconceptions about God. Ortlund argues that knowing God's character through Jesus Christ is crucial to a healthy relationship with God and others. One unique feature of this book is Ortlund's work with Puritans, showing the rich theological piety of these great spiritual giants and their great love for Christ. If you feel stagnant in your devotional life or want to be reminded of Christ's patience and love for us, I couldn't recommend this book more. Recommended by Pastor Aaron
